I am partnering with Acorn Influence to bring you this post about LoneStar Eggs. All opinions are my own and are honest.

As you know, everything is bigger and better in Texas! We think big, we do our hair big and we eat big! I get caught in a rut and have a hard time breaking out and trying new things sometimes. I love cooking but it’s hard being a short order cook when my hubby and kids want different things. I found a way to please them all…and they raved and raved over such a simple meal! So I present to you Texas Style Quiche!

You will need 8 Eggs (I used LoneStar Eggs because they are so big and taste so great!) 1.5 cups of half and half, 2 cups cheese (I used Sharp Cheddar!) and we added bacon to ours as well (8 cooked and crumbled slices!) 1 ready to use pie crust. Toppings of choice…in this post I tell you have to make it Texas Style!

Start by unrolling your pie crust into your baking dish, then simply mix Eggs with wisk until smooth and creamy. Preheat oven 400.

Add half and half and wisk again until well blended.

Add cheese and mix

Add bacon and pour into pie shell!

Lightly cover with foil and place in oven for 45 minutes. Remove, take off foil and place back into oven for 15 more minutes. Once the middle is cooked (not watery or jiggly) remove and let cool for 15 minutes.

What makes it so TEXAS awesome? Two things! LoneStar Eggs and Fajita Toppings with Homemade Salsa! I love the versatility of quiche! It can be a breakfast-y item or easily eaten for lunch or dinner! My kids are plain jane and my hubby loves all the extra spice and sauce that I can possibly add….which is why this recipe is PERFECT for my family!

To make the best tasting salsa in Texas…I simply take my favorite jar salsa, add cilantro and white onion. Chop until well blended! (We pour this on everything!!!)

Add your favorite veggies (we went with peppers and onions!) and a little butter and saute’ until browned and caramelized.

Add toppings and enjoy your Texas Style Quiche.

The LoneStar eggs are Texas raised for Texans and they are really fresh! I’ve never had eggs peel so easily after boiling either! They taste fresh and are full of rich flavor!
