We decided that we would take our kids for one last staycation in the Dallas area. Since we are Hawaiian Falls season pass holders, we can go to any location. We decided to take them to White Settlement location because they love adventure and we knew they would enjoy the ropes course and ziplines!
We arrived around 11 and decided to spend the first few minutes inside playing in the arcade (another thing The Colony location doesn’t have). We had $5 card coupons from our season passes so we used those to play for free. Emma, our middle daughter played a spin wheel game and hit the jackpot! That was a great exciting start to our day.
After the girls picked out prizes, we grabbed drinks with our all day drink coupons (again from season pass coupons!) then went straight to our cabana to get settled in and unpacked. Since the ropes course didn’t open until noon, we did bathroom breaks and stood in line to get suited up for the zip.
They were one of the first few on the course and quickly scaled all three levels. My oldest was so excited to zip across… that girl is fearless! Hubby soon followed her, but my middle one got too scared! I reassured her that we could try again before we left the park.
We then hopped into the lazy river and enjoyed floating for a bit before heading over to do the slides. The slides are different at this park. In The Colony the slides are all over the park and you have to climb 5 different flights of stairs to get to the different slides. Here, at White Settlement, they have two towers of slides. This made for longer lines but they moved quickly as there were 5 options of which slide to go down.
We went inside to enjoy lunch (and again used our $5 off combo meal coupons from our season passes). Hubby got the turkey leg, I got a burger, and the kids got brisket sandwich, uncrustables and nachos. We wobbled back outside to do more slides. After a bit, we decided that we need snowcones…those things are HUGE! (We used our $2 off coupons to get them for just $2.50 each!)
Last we suited back up to finish the day on the ropes course.
We had a blast! If you haven’t been to Hawaiian Falls White Settlement, then you really should make the trip! There is so much fun just waiting to happen! Make sure you take socks and tennis shoes so you can do the ropes course.
