I’ve been writing about Pine Cove for a while now. My girls went to Pine Cove Camp in the City last year and again this year. We even had 6 counselors stay at our house. You can read more about our experience as a host home for Pine Cove!
We waited and waited with anticipation to head to Pine Cove Family Camp. We’ve had a few friends go and they all had great things to share about it. It’s one of those things that you can read about online but until you actually go, you could never know all that it entails! I am going to attempt to lay out our week and then I will share our takeaways from the week.
We arrived on Sunday a few minutes before the gates opened. We were greeted by Camp Counselors! They gave my hubby a cold Rootbeer and me a Rose! The kids were excited to see the counselors on horses and jumped out to say hello!
It wasn’t just a few minutes before the gates opened and we drove in! Check out the video showing what that was like! My kids were SOOOO excited! We preplanned some additional fun for the drive in and bought the girls some silly string to use on the counselors! Next, our week of being served started! We were asked to leave the van (and all of our stuff!) and head on inside to sign up for different activities while the counselors unloaded our van! Yes! THEY unloaded EVERYTHING into our cabin! How awesome is that?
We signed up for everything that we thought our girls would enjoy and two morning for just us! (Jet Ski’s and a Breakfast Trail Ride!)

Pinecove Family camp helped us focus more on what is really important! Personally I learned a lot about myself and how I need more balance. There is a season for everything and the season of “rest” isn’t a bad thing.
