As a mom, I am busy taking care of my kids, the house, buying groceries, and so much more. At the end of the day, there is not much time left for me. I have learned that I have to MAKE time for myself…no one else will do it for me…it’s up to ME! So I’ve gotten creative over the last few years and found ways to sneak time for myself.
One of my favorite things to do for myself is to work out with friends. I have a few friends that I meet at a jump park for fitness classes. We work out together, and socialize too! It’s perfect! I don’t like to eat a heavy meal before I jump and have found that Müller® Ice Cream Inspired Yogurt (comes in Raspberry Chocolate Chip, Mint Chocolate Chip and Vanilla Bean favors), is lite enough for breakfast and is filling too! It’s a great on-the-go snack and breakfast option. My favorite is the Raspberry. I love the sweetness of the raspberry with the yummy chocolate chips!
I like to sneak out to the back porch and enjoy the cool spring breeze with the warm Texas sun on my back. (I sneak snacks outside to enjoy and I have to be extra sneaky with my yogurt as my girls will want some.) I think taking time for yourself is really important to helping keep the family in balance. If mama is stressed, then the whole evening will get thrown off balance. I need time to breathe, to reflect, and to reenergize. My kids deserve a mom who takes time for herself and honestly I want to teach my kids that they ARE important enough to have “me moments” and not feel guilty about them.
At night, I like to enjoy a moment or two after my kids are in bed! Feet up and relaxing!
