I am starting to get invites to Christmas parties and most of them involve bringing an appetizer to share. I want to take the most delicious party food possible! My hubby loves spicy things, so I thought I would play with Tabasco’s new Chipotle flavor and create a fun and easy recipe. I want to play with it some more and see if I can come up with a way to get it into a cheese ball too! I like to take cheese balls! I might try the chicken (as talked about below) and chop it really fine and use it that way. I’m filing that away for another day!
I found the Chipotle flavored Tabasco at my local Target. They had three different flavors to choose from. I also bought the buffalo one and regular one to try out. Here is the recipe I created! It’s hubby approved and easy to make and take to a holiday gathering!
Recipe:
- Tabasco Chipotle
- Chicken Breast
- Cheddar Cheese
- Cream Cheese
- Chips
- Optional: Ranch Dressing
Cut the chicken breast into thin strips, keeping them around 1-2 inches long.
Place in skillet and add Tabasco Chipotle Sauce. Cook until done. I added enough sauce to cover all of the chicken.
Mix together the cream cheese, cheddar cheese and Tabasco Chipotle Sauce.
Heat the mixture in the microwave until the cheese is just melted. Then spoon mixture onto the chips. I like these chips because they are like little bowls and hold a lot!
Top with the spicy cooked chicken. If you don’t like too much spice, add a drop of ranch dressing to help tone it down a bit.
My kids would only eat it with the ranch on it. Hubby loved it but said it definitely had an after kick! He also said he would like it served on top of celery sticks. (Pretty good idea, I think!)
