ReFresh: Out with the Bad, in with the Good

When I travel a lot, I get VERY undisciplined and eat things that I shouldn’t. I know that I can eat salads and push thru the temptations, but truth is I want to enjoy relaxing a little while on vacation. This is where the going gets tough. Getting back on track once I get home isn’t always easy!

My friend Karen, told me about a 10 day cleanse that could help and I was willing to give it a shot as I needed to detox my body from all of the crap foods that I had been putting inside it. Here is how the cleanse worked:

I would CLEAN eat along side doing the 3 Day ReFresh.  I knew the first few days would be very difficult as I would be cutting caffeine and sugar but I was up for the challenge.

Day One: Hungry, Caffine Headache
Day Two: two lbs down, tummy growling, headaches still
Day Three: three more lbs down

So just three days in and I was seeing awesome results! The hungry feelings went away once my body adjusted to eating healthy food! It took three full days for my body to stop with the crazy headaches. I was getting better sleep by then and felt less “heavy” in general. The following 7 days of the 10 day cleanse was clean eating. I prefer to eat clean when I can, so this was not a big deal.

I plan to do this 10 day cleanse after traveling again. I felt it really was easy and very helpful to getting me motivated to get on track quickly. The fruits and veggies that I take in while clean eating are exactly what my body needs most.
