What to do on School Breaks and Holidays? Swim!

Our kids are out today and they were out Friday as well! I love long weekends, but the energy levels are HIGH around here! I love finding things for the kids to do on breaks that are not traditional camps or what everyone else is doing. I am sure that the malls and pumpkin patches are crowded today… and that’s enough reason for me NOT to take my kids there! Now that we have had a few cooler days and the kids have not been able to swim as the community pool is now closed for the winter, I love the option of Open Swim.

AquaKids Mckinney offers Open Swim on days when school is out on breaks. I love that they offer this at an affordable rate! Here are their upcoming dates incase you want to plan to let your kids enjoy their nice warm pools:

Open swim from 1:15PM-2:45PM on:
  • Mon 10/14/19
  • Fri 11/29/19
  • Fri 12/27/19
  • Fri 1/3/20
$5 per swimmer for members and $7 per swimmer for non-members
Pre-registration required! You can sign up here!
As an added bonus, if you are not currently a member, they do a drawing for a free private lesson at each open swim!
Nathan has been attending swim lessons at Aqua Swim for over a year and he amazes me at his swim skills and he is just 3 yrs old. We do not own a life jacket anymore and I feel confident in any depth of water with him jumping in on his own. The staff at AquaKids are skilled and very good at building confidence at every lesson. Nathan looks forward to going each week and hates having to get out of the water when the lesson is over.
