Okay, I’ve never made this cookie…but it sounds wonderful! I think it would be a great one for the nut lover!
CHOCOLATE NUT REVELS COOKIES
1 6 oz. pkg. chocolate chips
hot water
1 cup chopped pecans
1 cup butter or margarine
2/3 cup sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
2 cups sifted all purpose flour
In a double boiler, melt chocolate chips over hot water. Stir in nuts. Cool. Cream butter, sugar, salt, and vanilla. Gradually blend in flour. Add chocolate mixture. Stir with fork just enough to streak chocolate into the white mixture – do not completely mix. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Flatten to 1/4 inch thickness with the bottom of a glass that has been greased and dipped in sugar. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 10-12 minutes. Cool slightly before removing from pan so cookies don’t crumble. Yields 4-6 dozen.
