I have partnered with Acorn Influence to bring you this post. All opinions are my own and are honest.
My girls love to play around in the kitchen! We have been experimenting with cereal creations that we can use for quick and easy mornings and came up with a few fun creations!
I want my girls to have plenty of yummy choices and am constantly looking for ways to add some nutrition to their daily diets. I remember as a young child hanging out with my great grandma in the kitchen. It wasn’t just about the recipe creation, it was about spending time together, learning how to measure, getting to lick the diggers. So many great memories of my childhood happened in the kitchen.
Peanut Butter Honey Nut Cheerio Bars Recipe
We’ve been making and eating these easy Peanut Butter Honey Nut Cheerio Bars for some time! Here is the recipe…super simple!
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/2 peanut butter, melted
- 3 cups Honey Nut Cheerios
Simply mix and place in baking dish. We pop these into the fridge to help them set quicker. They stay crunchy and we enjoy the protein kick for breakfast or snack!
My 11 yr old can make these all on her own as we just melt the peanut butter in the microwave!
Strawberry Blast Bars Recipe
This recipe is so easy and one that is a crowd pleaser!
- 3 cups Honey Nut Cheerios
- 1 package marshmallows
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 package freeze dried strawberries
Simply melt the butter, add the marshmallows and mix until melted. Remove from heat, add Honey Nut Cheerios and mix well. Place in well greased baking dish and press firmly down. Top with freeze dried strawberries. *Note that the strawberries will not be crunchy on day two…so enjoy in one setting if possible. (This is not a problem in our house!)
We bought all of our ingredients at Walmart! I love that the carry the Family Size General Mills cereal products! One box was more then enough for both recipes, plus extras. The freeze dried strawberries were found in the produce area.
