Sweaty kids and Stinky Shoes

This review and giveaway was made possible by Double Duty Divas and Febreze. I was compensated for my participation in this campaign, but all opinions are 100% mine.

Going back to school reminds me of the fun after school routines we have. The kids love to go to the park and play for a bit on our way home. I let them. They need the physical exercise and I love rummaging thru their backpacks while they play. They don’t normally play long before one asks for a snack or has to use the bathroom.

We make the short 10 minute walk home and they are so hot and tired. And they stink. The odor is piercing. It makes me nauseous. Then one of the kids kicks off their stinky shoes and that odor hits me. It’s bad! I make them put the shoes up quickly and gag for a few more minutes from the nasty kid sweat smell.

I am armed with a plan of action this year. I will no longer have to breathe thru the stinky smells. I was sent a few Febreze items to conduct a NoseBlind testΒ with some friends and here is what that looked like:

1.) Inital smell in the house, that I don’t smell, but my guests do
2.) Popped popcorn smell in the house, everyone smells this
3.) Febreze sprayed
4.) No one smells popped popcorn

Until I participated in this fun NoseBlind test, I had no clue that Febreze worked so quickly to neutralize odors. I thought finding something to mask odors was key. Nope, neutralizing them is key!

So I will have Febreze on hand to spray when sweaty kids and stinky shoes try to take over with their unpleasant smells. What do you use to keep these odors at bay in your home.

You can follow Febreze on Twitter or “like” them on Facebook for deals, coupons and more.

I am #noseblind to the smell of dirty clothes in the hamper. We keep the hamper in the closet and when the door is closed, I am told the closet smells. I need to try the Febreeze to see if it helps. Little boys are so stinky. I am just starting to use twitter, so may not have done this right…. πŸ™‚
